Learn how to delete your Paymavo account and what happens to your data.
Important Warning
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Before proceeding, please consider:
- • All your invoices and data will be permanently deleted
 - • You will lose access to your payment history
 - • Any pending payments will be affected
 - • You cannot recover your account after deletion
 
Before You Delete Your Account
Important steps to take before account deletion
Download Your Data
Export all your invoices, client information, and payment history before deletion.
What to download: Invoice PDFs (from each invoice), Tax Reports (from Reports page), Invoices/Customers/Expenses CSV (from Account page)
Handle Pending Payments
Ensure all pending payments are processed or cancelled before account deletion.
Check: Dashboard for any unpaid invoices, pending Stripe payments, refunds in progress
Subscription Auto-Cancellation
Your Pro subscription will be automatically cancelled when you request account deletion.
Automatic: Subscription billing stops immediately, no action required from you
Notify Your Clients
Inform your clients about your account closure if needed.
Consider: Sending final invoices, updating contact information, providing alternative payment methods
The Deletion Process
Steps to permanently delete your Paymavo account
1. Request Deletion
Initiate the deletion process from your account settings.
2. 7-Day Grace Period
Your account will be scheduled for deletion after 7 days. You can cancel during this period.
3. Permanent Deletion
After 7 days, all your data will be permanently removed. This action is irreversible.

Common questions about account deletion
What happens to my data after deletion?
All your data including invoices, client information, payment history, and account details will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
Can I cancel the deletion during the 7-day grace period?
Yes, you can cancel the account deletion during the 7-day grace period by logging into your account and clicking 'Cancel Deletion' in your Account page.
What happens to pending payments during deletion?
You cannot request account deletion if you have unpaid invoices with status SENT. Please mark them as PAID, cancel them, or wait for payment before requesting deletion. During the 7-day grace period, all payments continue to work normally.
Can I create a new account with the same email after deletion?
Yes, you can create a new account with the same email address after the deletion is complete. However, you'll start fresh with no previous data.
Will I be charged for my subscription during deletion?
No, subscription billing is immediately stopped when you initiate account deletion. You won't be charged during the grace period.
Will my clients lose access to their invoices?
Yes, once your account is permanently deleted, all invoice links will no longer work and clients will lose access to their payment history with you.
Will I receive a confirmation email?
Yes, you will receive a confirmation email after your account is permanently deleted. This email will include a feedback form and the option to create a new account if you change your mind.
