Account Deletion
Learn how to delete your Paymavo account and what happens to your data.
Account Deletion is Permanent
Once you delete your account, this action cannot be undone. Please read the following carefully:
- • All your invoices, quotes, and customer data will be permanently deleted
- • Any pending payments will need to be collected outside of Paymavo
- • Your subscription will be canceled immediately (no refunds for partial months)
- • You won't be able to recover any data after deletion
Before You Delete Your Account
Important steps to take before proceeding with account deletion
Download Your Data
Export all your invoices, quotes, and reports before deletion.
Location: Go to Settings → Export Data to download all your information in CSV format
Collect Outstanding Payments
Follow up on any unpaid invoices before deleting your account.
Action: Review your dashboard for overdue invoices and contact clients directly
Cancel Your Subscription
If you have an active Pro subscription, cancel it first to avoid additional charges.
Warning: Canceling mid-cycle does not provide refunds for the remaining period
Notify Your Clients
Let your clients know about any changes to how they'll receive invoices in the future.
Tip: Download client contact information before deletion so you can reach them later
The Deletion Process
Steps to permanently delete your Paymavo account
1. Request Deletion
Initiate the deletion process from your account settings.
2. 7-Day Grace Period
Your account will be scheduled for deletion after 7 days. You can cancel during this period.
3. Permanent Deletion
After 7 days, all your data will be permanently removed. This action is irreversible.

Common questions about account deletion
How long is my data retained after deletion?
Your data is permanently deleted within 7 days. We may retain some information for legal compliance (e.g., transaction records for tax purposes) for up to 7 years as required by law.
Can I cancel the deletion request?
Yes, you have a 7-day grace period after requesting deletion. During this time, you can log in and cancel the deletion request to keep your account.
What happens to pending payments?
Pending payments will still be processed through Stripe, but you won't have access to Paymavo's dashboard to track them. Make sure to note all pending transactions before deletion.
Can I create a new account later?
Yes, you can create a new account with the same email address after deletion is complete. However, none of your previous data will be recovered.
Will I be charged after deleting my account?
No, your subscription will be canceled immediately upon account deletion. You will not be charged for any future billing cycles.
Can my clients still access old invoices?
No, once your account is deleted, all invoice links will become inactive. Make sure to send final copies to clients before deletion.
Will I receive confirmation of deletion?
Yes, you'll receive an email confirmation when your deletion request is processed and another when the deletion is complete after the 7-day period.
