Why I created Paymavo
When I wanted to start freelancing, I looked at the existing invoicing software and realized they weren't adapted to my needs. Most were overly complex "Swiss Army knives" with project management, accounting, and team features - where invoicing was just a small module among many others.
I didn't want to pay for an expensive software and only use 10% of its features. I just wanted to create invoices and get paid - that's it. No accounting, no project management, no team features, not even quotes. Plus, the pricing was frustrating: Stripe fees on top of platform fees, or "free" software like Wave with hidden expensive fees and add-ons.
So I built Paymavo. A simple, beautiful invoicing software that focuses on one thing: getting you paid. No hidden fees beyond standard Stripe processing, with automatic Canadian tax calculation for all provinces.
